Announcements

For announcements and assignments, the Web is our authoritative form of communication. We expect students to check the ICS home page for both news and schedule regularly, every couple of days. If you hear a rumor, check it there.

Grading Policy

Your final ICS: Assembly grade will have the following components:

30%Lab Assignments & Quiz
70%Exam (Final)

Note that over a third of your grade comes from your assignments: we expect you to take assignment seriously in this class.

Quizes

Middle exam is held during the term. Final exam will be scheduled during finals week. Each exam will focus on a half of the class's material, but keep in mind that later topics in ICS build heavily upon the earlier topics. The exams count as follows: 35% middle exam, and 35% final exam.

Late Policy

You must hand in assignments when they are due, and you must attend exams at the scheduled times. If you feel you have a compelling reason for not handing in an assignment on time, or for not attending an exam, please talk to your instructor in advance. If you miss an assignment deadline, you should still hand in the assignment; we'll give you feedback even though we won't give you credit for your final grade. Furthermore, doing assignments is the best way to prepare for your exams.

Plagiarism

Cheating will not be tolerated!! All homework, labs and exams are to be done individually.
It is your RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that your passwords are well-guarded, directories protected, and printouts do not fall into other hands.
